The joys of the postal service
Dear USPS.
FUCK YOU.
On November 20 I received an email telling me that my eagerly anticipated order had shipped - an email from the site I bought this item from, so naturally the USPS website only said 'electronic shipping info received'. Being excited for this package to arrive, I checked every day, and finally six days later the package was received by USPS and left the country.
It stopped there.
According to the tracking information, my order left America on November 26 and has still not arrived in Australia, MORE THAN TWO FULL WEEKS LATER. I ask you, what the fuck is this? What incompetence led to this happening? Is my order floating in the ocean somewhere? Has it been stolen? Is it just sitting in a back room of America's postal service, letting its beautiful colour fade and its perfect texture grow soft?
I bought this during a fucking Halloween sale. I was even eagerly waiting for the fucking sale. Can you imagine how it's tearing me apart that this package, which by all accounts should have arrived a week ago, is still not in my hands?
Dear USPS, please fire all employees with an IQ of less than 20 and you might become a halfway decent delivery service. I'm just glad that you were smart enough to figure out how to deliver another order I was waiting on (which I ordered well after the one I've been talking about) successfully yesterday. I still expect my package, and I will never again order anything that isn't coming via FedEx.
For future reference, FedEx managed three days from ordering to delivery when I had Pokemon White shipped through them. MATCH THAT, ASSHOLES.
Update: A day after writing this, my package arrived in the country. FINALLY.
