Yes, I know what it's like to go through life like that, people saying pick a side and stay with it. Gender queer and androgyny tend to be a bit tricker to pull off. It leaves people with a lot of questions on what you are, and on top of that, it leaves the stigmata of someone who's too scared to go through with "the change" after they've placed you into a box. I can't say that I go through the exact same things that you do as I'm feminine leaning on androgynous (basically a feminine mindset without all the stupid trappings... I tend to want to punch most women in the face. God, they're stupid). However, there are days when I dress a bit too masculine and I get weird looks. Either way, I avoid bathrooms, as the women's tends to have flocks and the last thing I want is whispers, and there's no way the mens would fly with me as I'm always afraid someone's gonna kick down the door (I've always found them to be more antagonistic about the whole thing). As for forms, I just leave them blank and let the stupid clerk behind the desk mess up the marker ('cause god knows people don't like asking sometimes).
Anyways, just dress and live how you please and try to not let everyone else's comments get the best of you, although I know they do mar.
