It's only 1:15 and I have already been up for ten hours. Surprisingly enough, I am still alive and kicking. It was kind of nice to be at the gym this morning. We were there by 4:30 and remained there until six. When we arrived, we were two of four gym patrons. By six, you were lucky if you could get the piece of lifting equipment that you ( Read more... )

Well, today, I feel like i put it all back on, buuut... I've been being a lot more careful about what I'm eating.

For breakfast, I have 1/2 c. oatmeal, raw (as I prefer it), which is ~150 calories. I may have a cup of Nescafe, which is about 100. I have been lunching on that tuna I mentioned or one of a few other things I picked up, and try to keep it under 200-250 calories and low in fat. That pretty much leaves me with 700 or so calories for the rest of the day, which if I stay away from cookie dough and french fries, is completely doable. I'm aiming in the 1200 calorie range.

Weekends are much harder, but just cutting out mayo is probably the smartest thing I could do. Of course, no mayo means no sandwiches, becuase I will not eat a dry sandwich. So, no bread.

For my sweet tooth at work, I'm eating something really terrible -- cake mix -- but in terms of calories and such, for the amount I can eat (not much at a time), it's not too bad (1/12 of a box is 180 calories, and there's no way I can eat that much in a day!). When this box is gone, though, I'm going to look for something less awful.

Why did you have to mention cake mix? While lying in bed last night, I was consumed with thoughts of a devil's food cake. Grr goes my tummy cuz my tummy goes grr.

Do you not like mustard? Have you tried switching to fat-free mayo? Some people despise fat-free mayo. I haven't tasted real mayo since I was a child, so I really have no idea if fat free is grody as I really enjoy it. If you like mustard, try Dijonnaise. One teaspoon is 45 calories and zero fat grams. That's what I use on my sandwiches.

I've been combating my sweet tooth at work by having a cup of tea with honey in it or by eating the apple with peanut butter.

I really must try those flavored tuna pouches that you talk about. My mom loves them as well.

Keep up the good work.

Sorry! :(

No, I'm not much of a fan of Mustard. I like it in small doses, but not enough to allow me to eat a snadwich. I'm the kind of person who will skip lunch rather than eat a mayo-less sandwich. I am going to try the Nayonaise, which is low fat, but I don't have high hopes for it, either.

Oh, and no, I HATE fat-free mayo. It's too sweet. It tastes like Miracle Whip, which I also refuse to eat. We're talking, 2-year-old-style-projectile-spitting here (ok, not really, but that's how it makes me feel). It's THAT horrible to me!

Ha! I'm the type of girl that can wet my tuna with water and be perfectly fine.

I think Nayonaise rocks. I usually use it for devil eggs or potato salad/tuna/chicken salad whatever...

I think to mix either a little fresh basil or cilantro in it when I use it on sandwinches.

Is Nayonaise a vegan food? It sounds like a vegan food. I don't have high hopes for you with it either if it is due to a terrible experience I once had with vegan cream cheese.
