This is an introductory video of the soon to be famous Rachel Berry. That would be me. I have used my amateur editing skills and created this video to introduce myself to those of you who have yet to become acquainted with me.

I have also taken the opportunity to clear up some rumors that were floating around about me and Mr. Sandy Ryerson last ( Read more... )

That's the rumor you heard?

Well, that's hardly accurate. I loathe leather. Those poor defenseless bovine.

Gossip mongers are so unimaginative these days.

no, that's the one I just made up to make you gasp in horror ;)

it's much more entertaining than the REAL rumours though. Anyways, it could have been that fake leather stuff, easily.

Cows are tasty.

I would describe my gasp as full of indignation and a little light on the horror, but kudos on the attempt.

Every time your teeth tear into a steak, a calf loses its mommy. How can you enjoy your carnivorous appetite knowing that out there is a baby cow mooing for its Mom?

That's not true. Breeders don't slaughter cows with calves until after their breeding years are over and the calves are weaned. That's a waste of money. Plus, cows do not have the same emotional capacity as a human, they don't have the same sort of bonds. Therefore, they cannot be broken.

No, my family owns a cattle ranch. We grow the meat.

Well, I suppose there are professions that are required to cater to the ever-expanding waistline of our fine country. That does not mean, however, that I agree with it.

I can already hear the poor cows mooing.

Look...you make it sound like we're directly responsible for the obesity in America and that's not true. I won't claim that red meat is the most healthy thing ever, but too much of anything is bad regardless of what it is. You can be overweight and unhealthy if you are a vegetarian or vegan too, ANYONE can be overweight and unhealthy if they are not eating a balanced, properly proportioned diet. So many people think that if they cut out red meat or sugar or carbs or whatever it is and they'll be healthy and that's a crock of shit. You need a balanced diet in moderate proportions and THAT is where America fails. They wouldn't know a balanced diet or proper proportion if it bit them on the nose and introduced itself!!

Cows do moo, yes.

As a matter of fact, I wasn't implying your family business is a direct result of our obese country. I was actually stating that there is demand for the production of meat, so it is indeed a profession that is needed. And just because there is need for it, doesn't mean I have to agree with it. That is all.
