Pre-Vermont Letters

Commodore Lyon,

I assume that I haven't heard from you because there's nothing to hear. I'm going to be away from home for a while, and I don't know if I'll be able to get here from where I'm going. If there is any news before I return, would you please let Dr. Temperance Brennan know? She knows how to get in touch with me.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Hannah M. Griffith

Dear Elda,

I'm going to be away from home for a while, and I don't know if I'll be able to get in the bar from where I'm going. So please don't worry about me if you're looking and can't find me. And if you need to get in touch with me for any reason, you can leave word with Dr. Temperance Brennan -- she knows how to reach me.

Hannah

Dear Henry,

If you're reading this, then you're back.

So, welcome back, first of all.

Also if you're reading this, then I'm not here.

Don't worry, I'm fine. I'm going to Vermont for a while -- Hilary asked me to visit, and then I'm going on to Canada with Mom. I'm not sure I'll be able to get into the bar from either place.

Which also means, if you're reading this, please please let Brennan know. She knows how to contact me.

And finally, and most importantly, if you're reading this, then I'll see you when I get back.

Love,
Hannah
