......and I say #1 because no doubt it will not be the last.

  • Earlier in the week, Mama asked me why I have never been involved in a book club, since I love books so much. Hm, I had never really thought about it before. So, I started looking around on the internet because I thought it was a brilliant idea. But, unfortunately......My suburbia ( Read more... )

Hee, the problem with learning about the "other" cultures that were women-centered, is the fact that the men-centered ones made sure those ones were discredited or they destroyed the records (like, for example, when the Romans came into power, they did a lot of that with the "old" ways (pre-Greeks) and even made the Greek mythology that was women-centered be less (IE: Why you hear more about Hera, but not about Hestia, the goddess of the hearth) so a lot of the stuff you'd find out is guess-a-mation more then exact history.

Of course, sayth the history major, the argument can be made (and correctly so) that all history is like that, LOL

LOL As someone with natural C cup boobies, I just hope you don't burn you're bra's. They might've been made by "the man" but boy oh boy are they more comfortable then going braless sometimes.

RE the northerns and country music: Yes. LMMFAO Like, I'm from Northern NJ, yes? We're not more "refined" because that's bullshit, but the popular music is dance, hip hop, r&b stuff. The further you go into South Jersey, the more it's like going through the Mason-Dixon Line (not just from the music. Also from the attitudes and movements and living styles of the Southerns) .... and country music is pretty damn popular down there.

My gf lives in Tennessee and I told my friend from Newark (the ghetto. Not the only one or the worse one in NJ, but it's pretty craptastic living conditions in that city) that my friend liked some country music and she got all "O_O" and wanted me to swear that I wasn't getting into "that crazy shit." LMMFAO. So. Yeah. There's a big biased thing that goes on over county music up here.

We in the general NYC area is the only area in the country that doesn't have any country music stations on the radio dial. Like, at all. Even the crappy little AM stations don't play country.

LOL I'm not big on fashion myself, lol, but everyone's allowed their moments of vanity, and if you want yours to be fashion, then who cares what people think? LOL I like rockabilly music and I like country bluegrass.
