Video games and their counterpart on the Big Screen.
Yeah.
So.
I saw Silent Hill last night.
Other than the fact that I have not played the games, (due to the minorly crappy controls, extremely low visibility and the fact that I get so jumpy I die constantly) thus not understanding various portions of the movie...it was the best movie made off of a video game that I have ever seen.
Usually these things are terrible, but for once, it was great.
The atmosphere was perfect (i.e. "Hey, if she walks down that road, an armless/faceless guy is going to crawl out from underneath a van and scare the living shit out of her, and she'll find a key and a note.") and the screaming was awesome.
LIke seriously. The screaming? There is good horror movie screaming and there is bad horror movie screaming and this horror movie screaming was simply delectable.
In other news...
Since Gamestop bought out EB, I guess that means I own Noa now. :D Ya!
