New house stuff is making me nuts.

We had the builder install a ceiling fan in the bedroom and every time we turn it on, the circuit trips and we have no electricity in that room. They've been out here twice to fix it. Today will be the 3rd time. Also, the a/c has a whining noise throughout the house whenver the fan blows, and the foreman said something is wrong with it and that they will fix it; but we have to call the warranty people. On top of unpacking all this junk we have, and trying to get started painting again....it's a royal PAIN to have to deal with these little inconveniences.

I just found the digital camera so I'll take photos today for you peeps.

The "tanked" painting I wrote about yesterday: A sweetheart has bid on it, so that makes me feel much better! The new one I'm putting up is Item number: 7422732330. Here's what it looks like:

Here's the description: The Colorado wildflower called Indian Paintbrush is a favorite of mine. Sometimes I will place a sprig of it in the foreground when I'm painting mountainscapes. But in this piece, I decided to simply paint the flower itself, with a few wispy clouds behind. I call it "There's Never a Forever Thing" because summers in the high country of Colorado are so short. And so...we only get to enjoy Indian Paintbrush for a brief span of time. It's a bittersweet thing, and a reminder to cherish all the good times of your life as they are happening. Release worry about the future...because all we really have as a guarantee is the present moment.

I need to heed my own advice!
