So about that thing yesterday? In the light of day I'm pretty much over it. I'm just happy I have such a wonderful f-list I can whine to who will give me some sympathy when I need it. :D
In happier news--robots!
First, I direct your attention to an article about a new design for military robots, which while cool-looking are kind of frightening. Taking inspiration from "Minority Report," may be missing the point of the movie, don't you think?
And in much happier news about robots, copperbadge has written a long, wonderful McShep John-is-a-robot story, The Difference Engine. I can't rec this highly enough. It's touching and exciting and really gets to the heart of what it means to be human. I'm sure you're all tired of hearing me talk about my little robot story, but I have to say that one of the things I was most impressed by was how copperbadge really delves into the workings of the AI. Me, not so much. It's really good. Go read.
Off to the doctor now. Sigh.
