This looks great, I am usually pretty good with doing stuff with layouts, but I can not add a banner for the world, and someone just made a costumized one for me, and I have been going through all this shit trying to get it on there right. And it is pissing me off, since she gave it to a few hours ago, I have been messing with other layouts and cant get it right, and a few other people have the same layout as me and have banners, so I need to pull one of them down and have them tell me. LOL!

Well if you ever figure it out, let me know. I swear it's not in the FAQs.

Hee, you were onee of the people I thought should know about it, and I wanted to ask.

I'm glad you like the new layout. Still a WIP, but fun to pay with. :)

Well, are you using flexible squares? Cause you can put a banner over head it. You can to almost pretty much all of them.

I haven't used that layout since I first came on to LJ, but I am sure I could figure it out if I looked at it.

Umm, I guess I'm using flexible squares (your questions are too hard for me...), but I really wanted to know how to put up one with pictures and stuff.

There was this whole LJ tutorial about how to change your title and subtitle and stuff if you were a paid member in S2, and I was like -- whoa, I'm hungry and I have a headache, not now.

WOWUltra-pretty. The background is fantastic (is that from the LA library?), the color scheme very, very sweet. (especially like the creamy text boxes) And impressive Bowie mood icons to top it all off!

I played with trying to show the globe, which is soooo beautiful, but it ended up looking too busy, I thought. Did you see my Library post a while back, or are you just a library decor savant?

I'm so glad you like the new layout! I'm finally learning how to work this LJ thing. (Kinda.)

I remembered your post about the library. Plus-- it does kind of ooze cool, civic-building decor.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say in general, big pretty public buildings with loads of accessable knowledge are just A Good Thing. Yay libraries.

I admire style-tweaking. I've lacked the patience of late to try anything but stealing icons. Plus, my mucking about with style sheets often tends to make things uglier more often than prettier. And then there comes the yelling and the flinging of things at the computer....

BTW, *totally* off the subject...have you read any good House fic? I just discovered the show two weeks ago and I'm kind of in love. With all of them. They're such a adorable little passel of brilliant, witty, noble emotional wrecks, those kids.

There really isn't a tutorial or anything...but if you are a paid user and you chat via AIM or Yahoo, I can talk you through it. When you find a banner that is! :-)) It's a multi step process that is really rather easy, but it's almost impossible to explain it any way except step by step. :-))

Ooo, it is pretty. I like the colors you chose. I was playing with mine a few days ago and got so frustrated I finally said f-it and went with blue flexible squares. You wouldn't believe the number of tutorials I've read and the layout still won't do what I want. They make it seem so easy: Stick code in box 1, insert tab in box 2, draw a triangle (in blood) in box 3, and et voila! Jerks.

Your icon is very funny.

I was just fooling around with the layout, but I really like the background picture, so I'm gonna keep it. (probably forever knowing me.)

I have no idea what I'm doing, layout-wise. But at least I do know how t change background pictures and colors now.

(And the other day I learned how to apply a custom mood theme. Now that was complicated.)

Have you used the "admin console?"

(My icon is for your jerks who wrote the tutorials.) :D
