SGA Santa!
You guys, I've been remiss in posting about how freaking awesome the sga_santa story I got was. I was a lucky person who got my story on the first day, which was, um, two days ago? I've only waited this long to squee here because I'm operating on a massive sleep debt and I'm more than a little crazy.
But story: awesome! 33,000 words of plotty adventure. Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. Here's the summary:
John is dealing with his teammates' love lives just like any other emotional issue: by ignoring the situation and hoping it goes away. But when a mission gone wrong traps John, Rodney and Jennifer a thousand feet beneath New Lantea's ocean -- injured and out of touch with Atlantis, with the clock running down and a mysterious enemy in pursuit -- they're either going to have to work out their differences ... or die trying.
It's just as awesomecakes as it sounds. It's McKay/Keller, but romance takes a backseat to action and the grownup thorny emotional landscape of negotiating a best friend relationship when someone's gained a significant other. I think non-fans of the pairing will find plenty to love too. Every character here gets their due and moments to shine. ♥
And did I mention the action? Vivid and edge-of-your-seat. I don't think I'm giving away too much to say there are zombies! Zombies! Under the ocean!
I don't think we're likely to get a better adventure in this fest. It's amazing. ♥ I do hope you'll read it and leave some feedback!
