Hey we aren't going anywhere! I just don't think we need an active show to be awesome! We'll continue to be awesome, and as I told someone earlier, they'll have to pry my gnarled, clinging hands off this fandom! *squishes you* And in the immortal words of John Sheppard, "Buck Up!!"
Not seeing their faces is exactly the thing that upsets me most, so you're not remotely alone in that.
And as for what happens to fandom - my instinct is that we will continue to flourish, but of course I can't know that for sure. Still, we have fifteen more episodes; the finale doesn't air until January; nothing will change overnight about how we feel, except perhaps for us to feel like each episode is that much *more* dear.
Yes, folks might drift; you might too - but it's not a question of today, or tomorrow, or even next month. Let yourself feel sad about it, sweetheart, and let the rest come at its own pace
I hope we will continue to flourish. As I said, I'm pretty new to fandom in general and I've never had this happen before. I get sad when people drift now, it just seems like there will be so much more of that happening. But who knows. Maybe I'm wrong?

But people will leave. That's what's gonna happen. :(

We cling. Or, I cling to you. And everyone else.
I've met way too many amazing people through SGA and I refuse to let go. Take that as a threat if you want to (because I sort of mean it that way) ♥

It's just not going to be the same. And I'm a person who hates and fears change. :(
