Surgery Update
My surgery for the umbilical hernia went well this morning. I am already walking (a little) and eating (always a good sign), and I am lucid. I was amazed how quickly it went, and I had no warning that the anesthesia was being administered when it was. It was delivered by IV, after the antibiotics, which allowed for the stealthy approach.
The roughest part of the actual surgery was the disorientation after waking up. For a moment I wasn't sure if they even did the surgery.
Right now I am staying with my parents to make sure there is someone to watch me for the period immediately following the operation. My brother, Shirokumavidar, will take over on Saturday. I'm on pain medication now, so I'm not in pain, and right now everything is good.
