Hello Hello Hello!
Well, now that I've finally got a computer working (that I can spend more than 5 minutes on...), I figured I'd update this thing a little bit.
Adam and I have just bought a townhouse in Brandon. We're SO excited! It's huge and his dad got us an awesome deal on it. The best part is it's BRAND NEW! We're supposed to be closing on it by August 17th, so there will definitely be pictures involved soon.
I'm going into my 3rd year of school and I guess I'm ready. It's becoming more of a routine than an anticipated event. I saw the bookbags and "back to school" crap out at the mall today and it mademe kinda sick to my stomach. Ah yes! More lesson plans! More political nonsense with chorus auditions! More Beurocracy! I'm so excited... really..
The only thing I AM looking forward to is our updated technology in the music room. Deon and I are both going to be running up-to-date MacBooks (yes, I got a new one!) with wireless internet access. I recently got an iWork family pack so Deon can have a copy... then we can make awesome presentations, videos, etc. for class. It's going to be SO much fun!
Oh, so you noticed that I said I got a new computer? How in the world could I afford it? Well, my summer job this year (and most likely one that will carry on throughout the year part-time) is as a Mac Specialist at the Apple Store. That means *gasp!* EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT!!!
