I think that one of the things that I really like the most about livejournal, is that it gives me tool with which to measure my progress or whatever, over time. It's easier to access than a regular journal, doesn't waste paper, and is conveniently designed so that I can just point-and-click my way through the years. I like being able to check my archive at a whim for a year ago today, or two years, or whenever. I end up feeling as though it gives me the yard stick for measuring life that I'm always lacking. It's a way to be able to tell myself 'Here is where I've been, here is where I am, here is what I've done, and here is what I'm doing'.

Maybe that was all kind of obvious
