It is a shame that STM doesn't like the idea... I think its kind of nifty. Of course recreating locations in a game with shooters as a practice for a real shooting is the stuff Hollywood has done a number of times (Numb3rs, Flashpoint, etc). Heck even the US Military does this kind of stuff for training missions routinely.
