DBD Training Ride 4
Another ride down on my DBD Training Ride list, this past weekend I made my second attempt up Old La Honda to Skyline. This is one of the local major "benchmark" climbs, and the route to the coast on DBD.
The fastest "known" time up the climb is by Eric Heiden at 14:10 ( Eric Heiden Old La Honda Record 14:10 ). I did it in 41 minutes with 2 stops. I did not have my edge500 on my first attempt but I think it highly likely I improved. I didn't need to lie down in the pine needles one I had reached the top.
Otherwise a good ride, 46 miles total and 2855".
