Yesterday we celebrated the first day of really good wheather with no waves or wind or clouds. So I took my bycicle, attached the trailer and we went to city bazaar (takes place saturdays on the main square). Last time I nearly jumped over my head trying to drag the trailer with kids inside up the ramp. Yeaterday I knew better, so I made them walk up by themselves.
My trailer never stops to amaze the locals. THey wave hands, smile and whistle as we pass by. That's understandable. Bycicles seem to be a popular mean of transport here, but mine is the only trailer in town. As I was still preparing for this journey, I checked if I could purchase a trailer on the spot. Unfortunately, no company that I know of has set foot on turkish ground yet.
So, we went to bazaar.
It's not as large as the one in Alanya center or even in Oba, but still there's an abundance of fruit and veggies and spice of course. Fish are expensive though. Bought some pommegranades, strawberries, cucumbers and stuff. And fish too.
But I'm a big city girl after all. I bought fresh fish only to put it into freezer.
Every singe seller at the bazaar just had to notice my unusual kid's transport. At one stall they even made me demonstrate how this thing gets attached and detached? how kids are secured etc. For once, I didn't mind.
Kids made me stop at the toy stall ( all the usuall chinese crap). Yuna picked her toy quickly - a mixture of a guitar and a sheep with a very irritating sound. Max was more picky. He had to try out every gut they had - and they had a lot. Finally he chose an automatic gun and I asked him several times if he was sure of his choice. He was 100% positive. Do I need to say that he changed his mind 5 minutes after we left the toy stall?
I bet we were a scene to remember: me walking the bike with trailer open and kids looking out of it, Max shooting at everything with his gun and Yuna playing some mad song on a sheep-formed guitar.
