I've finally caught up to everyone else in BSG.
Battlestar Galactica.
I first came across it about a year ago (in September 2005 actually) on the Space Channel while at Mig's. I think it was just when the series was starting, around the middle of the first season. I remembered the commercial showing a man ducking behind a woman and a nuclear shockwave rippling through the house and blowing it to pieces...probably the part that stuck with me the most in the commercial, ending with a sexy Canadian model/actress saying "Humanity's children are returning home....today." I said...."Damn! I've got to watch that show!"
Months went by.
Spring came, and I was sitting at Lees with the dudes and Jason turns to me and says,
"Hey dude, there's this awesome new show you've gotta watch, it's called Battlestar Galactica..."
...(I'm not sure if those were your EXACT words, dude, but it was along the lines of that, haha)
So now that I had access to these shows (with the slowest internet in the world out where I live, downloading full seasons of TV shows was next to impossible for the sake of my sanity) I got caught up in something I should have started watching a year ago. Now that I'm up to date....man, I kick myself for not getting into it any sooner.
Season III starts in October, and I can't wait! It's like an awesome birthday present TV's giving to me. Yay!
By the way, plans for my birthday....I have none. I haven't had time to think of any so far, but I'll probably end up going to Elephant and Castle for a birthday dinner (heads up, people) on the 31st...........those plans are airborne for now, but I will notify peeps if anything changes.
I wanted to have a BASH again this year (come on, I'll be 21) but with moving and a new house and still living at home, that won't be possible this year. Whatev. Improvising could be fun anyways.
!EDIT!
Well, Marty just informed me that the 31st is not an actual date in September (and right he is) so I'll change that to the 30th....a Saturday. Woo!
