[The PCD has just been dropped somewhere, but it's somewhere with a pretty good view of the room. Sephiroth doesn't notice the blinking light as he sits in a chair in the Hall of Fire. [Vincent nods back and takes something from under his cape. A long, yellow ribbon. He holds it out in the claw-covered hand.]

[Sephiroth steps away from the door and reaches out slowly to take it. His gloved fingers brush the metal of Vincent's claw as they curl around the ribbon.

He'd never really grasped the point of mementos before. It had seemed like aimless sentimentalism. Holding something that had been his mother's, he realizes that while it may be sentimentalism, it's neither aimless nor meaningless.]

[The only reason Vincent doesn't need mementos is that Lucrezia is engraved in his flesh. He though it rather cruel when the Animus gave him the ribbon for Christmas, but it was just a light addition to the rest of his burdens.

He's glad he held onto it now.]
