[Sephiroth is pretty visibly different. For one thing, he's wearing normal, casual clothing instead of his shoulder armor and combat leathers. For another, the cat-slit green eyes don't glow as brightly as they usually do. And for once, Masamune is nowhere to be seen. So yeah, Sephiroth is definitely affected

No, I don't work for Shinra. [Sephiroth pauses for a minute, debating his options. If this version of Vincent is still remotely like his dad, then ducking the questioning will only be delaying the inevitable. Sigh.]

[Sephiroth frowns a little, clearly thinking it over. Finally, he nods slightly.]

My mother's name is Lucrecia.

[And Vincent ... smiles at that name. A smile that lights up his whole face, even though it is tinged by sadness.]

So it could have been true ...

[Sadness or no, it's always good to see his father smile. An answering one pulls at Sephiroth's lips for just a moment.]

You've already met Mom, then?

[Vincent nods.]

I never got the opportunity to ask her if you were ... his son or mine. I guess ... after what happened, I didn't really want to know.
