A wonderful novel I've just read...

Last month, I read a young adult fantasy novel that I really enjoyed: "Northlander" by Meg Burden. Cousin Margaret, I mentioned it to you in North Carolina over Christmas, so I thought I'd make a note of it here -- it's truly a fun read, absorbing, with excellent characterization and a plot that will keep you reading.

Thanks for the rec! It's always nice to hear what works. :)

How are you doing lately?

I'm good... I'm finishing up a last semester of coursework toward my doctorate, working on several NIH grants for my advisor, studying for comprehensive exams, and working on my dissertation proposal...

And watching a lot of Star Trek, reading novels, playing with my dog, and driving all over Florida to see my man. Good times, right?

How are you doing? I hope well?

It's good to hear from you :) Nice to think about the Haremites, I always get a big smile on my face.

Aw, me, too. I'm so glad I caught the Haremite wave, even if only on the receding edge. You were the first Harmemite I ever roomed with. I'm so glad!

Sounds like things are going great for you! I'm glad. I've spent a long 3 years recovering from my neck injury (computer-related) and am now exploring the untested waters of an alternative career. I hope it will have to do with writing, however. I just adore writing.

Do you have plans after you finish your doctorate? Wow, such exciting times. Best of luck to you!
