Character Information

General
Canon Source: Final Fantasy 7 Compilation: Advent Children (Complete)
Canon Format: Movie sequel to video game.
Character's Name: Yazoo
Character's Age: Because Yazoo is Sephiroth, or a part of him, he could technically be counted just as old as the man. His separate consciousness manifested after Sephiroth was killed, so he could also be thought to be two years of age; however his body only manifested a few weeks prior to the events of Advent Children, so it tends to be a bit..complicated. His physically appearance is that of a young adult in their twenties.

Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. I am not sure if this counts?

What form will your character's NV take? My canon loves Cell Phones.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:

Yazoo is built to be lithe, light and fast, though this will not stop him from throwing a person across the room. Perhaps not as far as Loz might be able to, but enough to buy him some time and to cause some damage. He happens to be a scarily accurate shot with his Gun, and while not on-par with Loz in the brute strength, he is still mastered in hand to hand combat, prone to using his upper body defensively while lashing out with kicks against his opponent. Being inhuman, he knows no laws of gravity can jump into the air several stories high, make his descent rather slowly. With his Weapon, Velvet Nightmare, has been shown that he can uses two of them at the same time. He also as the ability to summon monsters known as Shadow Creepers from the tainted Lifestream his body contains.

Weapons:
The Velvet Nightmare is a gunblade that formed with the Remnants came forth from the Lifestream, one in the hand of Yazoo, and another with Loz. While it's main purpose is as a gun, it can be used to block and parry swords, as shown in the multiple fights with Cloud Strife. Yazoo has been shown to be able to duel wield these weapons and be able to fire them at the same time, and while his aim is very accurate, the weapon can hold a large amount of bullets in one round without having to reload. They have little symbolic significance, apart from perhaps showing that Yazoo had a lesser chance of becoming Sephiroth than Kadaj, who uses a katana like the Original, does.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
This is the wiki.
Yazoo was formed along with his two brothers in the Northern Crater where Sephiroth fell years before out of the One Winged Angel’s will, becoming a shard, a piece, or a Remnant of the man. His mission was to protect Kadaj during this time and follow his orders, the youngest having been chosen to bring about the Reunion and the destruction of Gaia. In the search for Mother, he along with his brothers tortured Elena and Tseng for information until Vincent Valentine saved the two Turks. While Kadaj went after Rufus ShinRa and Loz went to the Church of the Ancient, Yazoo went into the city of Edge to gather the Geostigma infected children, transporting them to the Forgotten City to infect them further and put them underneath their control and taking away their will.

After an altercation with Cloud Strife in the Forest of the Ancients, once more interrupted by Vincent Valentine, Loz and Yazoo proceeded back to Edge with the children and to the Meteor Monument, intending to knock it down because they thought Jenova was being hidden there by Rufus and his Turks. When the angry crowds gather around, both to see what was going on and to demand their children back, the two cause mass chaos by sending out Shadow Creepers to attack the populace. However, Reno and Rude were quick to interrupt them, and a fight broke out between the two Turks and the older Remnants. Kadaj summoned Bahamut SIN around this time as well to add to the chaos, before Cloud finally arrived on the scene and with the help of his friends in AVALANCHE, finish off the summon. By the time this is done, Kadaj had retrieved Jenova’s box from President Rufus ShinRa and attempted to fall back, leding his brothers out onto the highway with Strife close behind.

After fighting with the traitor and the Turks once more on the highway, Yazoo even taking down a helicopter by jumping his bike into the air, through the door and shooting the control council, Loz and Yazoo are only seen once more after Reno and Rude set off a bomb made of fireworks, when the Great Gospel rained down a to heal those with Geostigma. Being made of mostly Geostigma and and tainted Lifestream, the Remnants suffered a slow painful death while the humans that had contracted Geostigma were healed. On top of a building after Cloud fights the newly resurrected Sephiroth via the Reunion through Kadaj, killing the Remnant in the process. Yazoo appears and shoots to kill him with the last of his strength .claiming that if they had to go, they would all go together. There is an explosion as he and Loz throw everything they have at Cloud, and all three of them disappear, the two Remnants presumably following Kadaj to the Lifestream.

Point in Canon: After his death.

Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:
Yazoo will be taken from his previous time in Siren's Port. He will remember all of the people he met, his experiences and slight growth and changes that he went though. The last event he will remember clearly, however, was being out in the darkness in Sector 5 investigating a phone call to the police.

Character Personality:

Sarcastic, Sadistic, Feminine; not a combination you see every day, but that's the way to describe Yazoo in three words. He's a cruel and ruthless man, not against shooting first and asking questions later. Torturing a sentient being is not out of the question either, and it is noted that he did indeed help capture and help 'extract' information out of Turks Elena and Tseng. In terms of his ‘traits’ he’s taken from Sephiroth, he represents the Original’s Allure. He is also the representation of a certain ‘time’ of Sephiroth, being his SOLDIER years in his quiet seriousness (In fact, he often is the quietest of the three.) and his bound duty to follow through with Kadaj and Mother- his ShinRa, if you will-While at the same time being able to make his own decisions. As the Original's representation of Allure, he tends to fascinate people he meets, and they find themselves drawn to him. There is a mysteriousness about him that Sephiroth held as well, when he was revered as the backbone of the Wutian war and the SOLDIER hero. He attracts people, as shown when gathering the children of Edge to take them away with false promises of healing the Geostigma. It is the most prominent of traits he gained from Sephiroth, as each of the Remnant's did when the man manifested as the separate but same three onto the surface of Gaia. However it is only just a trait - What Yazoo makes of it comes from what he decides to do with it himself. As intense and drawing as he can be, there is no magic to it. In fact, Yazoo dislikes people for the most part, he finds that toying with them to get what he wants he and his brothers want from them, to come rather easily. After all, the only important ones to him are his brothers and finding Mother.

Yazoo is seen to be the most callous and unfeeling of the three remnants, maybe even to the point of emotionlessness. It is very hard to get a rise out of him, but when it does happen, he can get angry. Very angry, actually, but it takes a lot to push him to that point and when he does reach it, not much if not nothing can stop him from killing the aggressor. Though he is callous and cold, his feelings of responsibility and caring run deep for his 'true' brothers and Mother in loyal and almost blind devotion, even if it is rarely shown. Yazoo would willingly lay down his life for either brother and do anything to keep them from harm. Other feelings he has never really had a chance to develop due to his short time walking on Gaia, but he does have the potential to feel them…in the distant future.

However, he does like to play with his victims some when he actually has a target...Another trait of Sephiroth's that he inherited. In the fight with Reno, the Turk basically threw everything he had at the Remnant while the other mainly blocked and silently taunted. More often than not he will not outright kill those he is after, rather leave them to be killed in indirect ways. In the highway chase scene, after Reno and Rude appear in the helicopter he jumps his motorbike directly into the chopper, knocking Rude out of it, shooting out the control panel and then bursting out of it all in the mere seconds. He left them to be killed in the crash, despite the fact that in such a close range, he could of easily have shot either Turk at point blank range.

Yazoo is commonly referred to as the ‘middle child’ the three remnants despite the fact they are all the same age, due to the fact he falls in the middling height range and that Kadaj seems physically younger than him while Loz seems older. All three share a special connection, allowing them to' feel' each other's aura out. It could also go much deeper than that, even allowing them to 'read' one another’s moves before they are fully excited, making the dangerous men and even more fearsome tag-team without ever seeming to have to speak to each other. It’s not mind reading, but more empathic in nature. It seems to be strongest between him and Loz, as he works with the bigger male in fights - Sometimes using him as a springboard and other times merely sliding up next to him to grab his weapon without either questioning it, as shown in the fight in the Forest of the Ancients.

Character Plans: Get him out and about a bit, break his brain once or thrice and have him experience things that in another setting, he would not be able to. Yazoo is a rather minor character even when put next to his brothers, so fleshing him out so that he becomes someone, not just a avatar of Sephiroth with one purpose, would be my ultimate goal.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample
[It looks like his phone, it feels like his phone, therefore it must of been his phone, right? Never mind the fact that he had died - it meant little to someone like Yazoo, one who truly never had an existence to begin with. With little care he grasped the phone and dialed a familiar number. While of course it would not work, the Remnant did not know such, even with the strange circumstances. Truly, he should of been more on alert about such. His dialing turns on the audio feed instead of connecting to his brother, and you are treated to dead silence for a good long moment.]

Loz. [A pause, and when there is no response from the other end of the line he exhales, a slow but obviously annoyed sound.] ...Hn.

[With that, he hangs up.]

One really would have to pity the poor Greeter for having to deal with the arrival of the Remnants on separate occasions. After being run off by the first, threats to hurt him if 'Mother' was not returned to him immediately, it only made sense that the man would be just as wary of this one. Those same slitted eyes, - brilliant green and deep piercing - commanded attention even when the only word that came from the Remnant was as a simple command: "Explain."

And so the man did, but Yazoo listened little, mind half absorbing the information about this 'Pull', so on and so forth. No, his mind was cast out in several different directions doing several different things. First, the vague wonderment of feeling so alone, with no sense of his brothers close by. Where was Loz? They had been right next to one another in the last ditch attempt to kill the Traitor, who they had watched take down the youngest, their leader... The faint flame of anger curled up though the man, but only just briefly as his mind connected to a distant, but oh so welcoming call of one mind to another. Welcoming, in spite of the fuming and annoyance at his lateness that was sure to follow in the wake of finding the other again.

Kadaj. He was here.

"Where is Brother?" He interrupted the Greeter, and did not even give the other a chance to speak before continuing. "And Mother...She must be here." He stepped forward, that movement alone causing the Greeter to take twice as many steps back. Now found, his brother surely aware of his presence as well, Yazoo was much less worried of how he had ended up here and more concerned with dealing with the questions of here and now.

"Don't think to hide them from me."

It's when the poor Greeter takes off that his leather encased hand slides over the holster of Velvet Nightmare, but yet allows it to remain there, fingers touching and wrapping around the familiar with a slow kind of reverence. He let the man go, thoughts already turned elsewhere as his free hand reached for the phone at his side, opening it up to call on his yet still missing brother.
