I have already given my opinions of Superman as a character in my review of Action comics 1 so I will not rehash old content.

What I will say is that Action Comics 1 Made me hopeful about this issue.
Sadly this issue did not live up to that book. It was good but not as wll written or as well drawn as Action 1.

This book is set further ahead in Supes career than Action was but quite a few years and I am assuming is int he same time frame and JLA due to costume mostly.
It opens with us watching the iconic Daily Planet building being leveled.
Yes I said leveled.
In the NEW DCU the Daily Planet has been bought by a large media conglomerate and they have built a NEW Daily Planet building, demolishing the old one. Citing too much structural damage over the years from all the Meta Abuse it received. (kind of logical really.. how many times has someone been thrown through that building over the years?)

Clark is being a bit if an Emo weenie about the whole thing throughout the book and basically only snaps out of it when some odd fire monster starts trying to take out the city.

I will be riding out the first story arc to see how it goes. But so far it gets a B-
