GUH.
It took me a while to find the time to watch my tape, but I watched it today. And now I am dead of the painful, painful squee.
Oh, my heart. I thought something must have happened between Kara and Lee on New Caprica before the Cylons and everything to make him so angry at her, but I never, never dreamed that it would turn out to be what really happened.
They love each other! They said so! SHOUTED so, for crap's sake. And she got scared and took the safe route: Anders. Kara was afraid to love Lee and let him love her because of how vulnerable it would make her to pain and maybe losing him like she lost his brother. I cannot believe she could wake up next to Lee one second and (almost literally) run away from him to marry Anders the next. When Adama told him that Kara got married, he was so devastated. I almost cried.
So when Starbuck and Apollo were boxing, and there was all that blood and agression and anger between them, I was worried about how that would end. They just kept hitting each other even though they were tired and bleeding. They just had to keep fighting. And then when they just stopped fighting and held each other in the middle of the boxing ring, and she told him she missed him? DEAD OF THE SQUEE.
What can they do now? They always knew, but now we know too that Anders and Dualla are not the ones they wanted to be with, and maybe still aren't.
I also have to mention that the Bill/Laura stuff heavily contributed to the squee overload from this ep. Lying next to each other, watching the stars, while she leans on his chest? And how worried she was when Tyrol was beating him down? *dies*
