Gakked from
beyondthepen is really great at providing me with these:
Leave me a comment saying 'Interview me'.
I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
Update your journal with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.
This are my five questions:
Who's your best friend and why is he/she the best?
As lame as it sounds, I really do think my mum is my best friend. This conclusion came from a precess of elimination and just some thinking. I sort of have friends IRL, but there's not enough confidence (at least on my part) and I really know the basics of their, and vice versa. I mean, I know what's happened to them in recent history (at leas from the time we've known each other) and we do hang out every once in a while, but that's pretty much it.
And I talk with my mum a lot. Technically one hour EVERY day. (As if I wasn't sounding lame already). And I know she's going to tell me the truth about whatever it is I'm doing, and not try to sugarcoated or make excuses for me. So, that's kinda cool (although not all the time). She pretty much know everything there's to know about me. And I have no problem talking with her about things. But if that doesn't count, I don't think I have a best friend. I tend to shy away from people and be pretty private. So it's hard for me to make friends, hence difficult to have best friends.
Where's the farthest you've ever been from home?
It's up to three places: Istanbul, Montreal or Edinburgh. I went to Istanbul when I was 9 (good times when we could abroad) with all my family and it was awesome. I don't remember that much, but I do remember loving the way all the building looked in the sunset, all shiny and kinda new, when they actually weren't.
Edinburgh I visited for a weekend. After 12 years of private English classes (which pretty much made me the shy girl I am now), my parents kept their promise. Back when I started said classes, they said that if I passed the test, they'd pay me a month in England. Funny because I didn't remember about it and it mainly meant more classes, as it was a study trip. But we only had classes in the morning and sight-seeing London in the afternoon, so it was way more than OK
And finally, I went to Montreal last semester in an exchange program. And it happened what I knew it was going to happen all along, but I got to know a bit of Canada and also NY and Boston, which had been a dream of mine for a while.
How many of your LJ friends do you know IRL?
None. I seem to friend people who don't live nowhere near me. Or I friend people who live in places I visited, but after I've been there. I may try to change this situation, but me being me, yeah not seen that happening anytime soon.
Since I know you read fanfic, what's your current fave story?
In which of my many fandoms? Let's see: My favourite one on VD right now is a tie between
Causalties of Accidental Dating and
What Lies Beneath. The bad thing of liking a couple that involves a main character and kind of secondary one, is that there aren't any chances of them getting together on screen. But WLB is a good way to see what may happen with this couple as behind the scenes.
On Lost, it's
this (I'm going to keep trying on that one :)). And
Two Steps Behind by NothernWolf @ FF.net (I know she has an LJ , but I can't remember what it is).
On Fringe,
i'll be found in you, still standing. It's kinda shows how the weird Fringe family came to be and a nice end of the world scene.
Harry Potter fandom:
It's all relative. I just discovered this one, but I love the love letter in there. I do think that it makes a perfect love letter. But that's just me, and I don't know much about that.
The rest is Silence by
enigma731 is a great House fic, revolving around Chase and Cameron. It's really a roller-coaster, because this two are never safe for more than a couple of chapters. And are really messed up here.
Terminator:
Elevation and
Fracture by
aelysian. The first one is pretty awesome. It's something I could have see happening and the second just killed me.
Merlin: The Clouds and the Stars didn't Wage this War by
jazzebelles. Cute, but angsty.
Those are the first ones that come to mind. But I'm pretty sure I have tons more. I do read a lot of fanfic. It drives my family bonkers. But hey, I love my TV shows and some are really frustrating, so...
What's your main reason for having an LJ?
I procrastinate. It the only thing that occupies my time more than. I think it's second to shipping, by thisclose. Just to make it clear, I can spend a day catching up to a series that I just discover and looking up Fanfic, and read AWFUL fanfic just to avoid start studying most of the time. Anyways, once in a while I try to do something to stop this. I discover LJ shortly after I discover FF.net. And I would spend a lot of time going to some of my fav authors LJ to see if they had updated. So I decided to make a journal as to get the e-mail alerts and not go to 7 different journals every half hour or so. This was I just had to leave my mail open and check there. And also not to lose track of a story or author.
I then started ranting about my brother and stuff, but getting the alarms was mainly the main reason.
I do tend to over share info, as it was made clear here, and I've been really emoticon happy today. So... who wants some questions sent their way?
