so i was reading this review on netflix for children of paradise.. it's a "romantic fantasy set in the world of French theatre in the 1830s".. and the reviewer said (emphasis added):
Without a doubt, this may be one of the greatest movies ever made.Notice the specific lighting that highlights portions of people'sbodies, eyes, hair, and the sincerity that the acting embodies.Everything is in it for a reason, from the flowers to the moon. And ifyou love the theatre, the backstage sequences will knock your socksoff. There are hundreds of people in a shot at a time, and each one ofthem is doing a specific thing.
