Yeah, no-HI-o here. Why didn't someone tell me that whole state is one big toilet? Cincinnati has the narrowest streets I've ever seen and they still decided it'd be a great idea to make every street four lanes. This rule applies doubly if there's a hill or curve around, which is pretty much everywhere ( Read more... )

I've never been to Ohio, but your description of it skeeves me out. I'll cross it off my "places to visit" list, not that it was ever there...

Sports, eh? *blinks* Well, they ARE rather homoerotic ;)

Columbus is better, but I think in the end it was just too far from the family too. I'm a complete wuss. I'm terrified of going to St. Louis even though it's like two hours from home. :D

Sometimes I surprise even myself. I'm usually not that into sports, but when the superbowl hits or March Madness starts, I get interested for some reason. I really don't find most of the players that attractive, so I'm pretty sure it's some long dormant, recessive macho gene asserting itself.

I hear ya! I went to college 4-5 hours away and both schools I'm considering now are no more than 2 hours away. I got that out of my system. Must be an only child thing :)

Parts of Ohio are pretty nice. Like, y'know, up near Lake Erie. And in the more mountainous areas. The Appalachians have a certain sort of beauty that really makes a state nice. (After all, without the Appalachians, West Virginia would be nothing more than a cesspool of rednecks and poverty! Oh, wait...)

Most of Missouri is worse than Ohio... except, apparently, the cities. Have you been to see SLU yet? Or have you ever been to St. Louis?

Ayup, SLU was the first one I visited. I got a good vibe from it in general and it dominates the STL market. I actually really like STL for some reason -- it's really grown on me.

I dunno, I'm probably prejudging OH a bit. I just didn't get a good feel from the minute I got there. My gut does have shit for brains, though. :D

I've been a little absent from here as of late, but I were around I would have told you that Ohio sucks.

I think Columbus is alright, I have family there. It's not so much the state, but the people I have met from there or while visiting. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but I have met a lot that are "off." Cedar Point is pretty awesome if you're into rollercoasters. Other than that, I consider it one of my drive-thru states.
