First tutorial featuring the lovely Ashlee.
So I was sitting here, and I decided that I wanted to make a tutorial. It is my first, so please be nice. :] (Icon is also my new icon :])
Today we'll be going from this to this:
in 9 steps.
Made in PS7, but I'm sure it's translateable.
1. Ok, first off I cropped my picture until I was satisfied with the way it was positioned. I then re-sized it and pasted it into a new 100x100 canvas. I sharpened once(but this all depends how blurry your picture is)and then I carefully blurred the skin.
2. Next, duplicate the base and set that to Soft Light 100%.
3. Duplicate the Soft Light Layer and Desaturate it.
4. Create a new layer. Fill it with a peachy color. I chose #ECC983. Set that to Multiply at 45%.
5. Go back to your Desatuated Soft Light Layer, duplicate it and bring it to the top.
6. Create a new layer and fill it with a dark blue. I chose #000B45. Set to Exclusion 50%.
7. Create another new layer and fill it with a darkish green. I chose #366849. Set that to Color Burn 29%.
8. Go back to your Desatuated Soft Light Layer, duplicate it and bring it to the top.
9. Go back to that Exclusion layer you made earlier. Duplicate it and bring it to the top.
And that's it! :D Wasn't so hard, was it? Different pictures will, of course, look different, so you can adjust the opacity of layers to get the look you want.
You can of course add brushes or text, but I think mine looked good without it.
