He has his father's eyes

For red_squadron_5, who requested "Padme and the babies."

Time seemed to stop when Obi-Wan showed Padme the baby for the first time. Luke. She had named him before anyone in their right minds would consider naming their baby, but she had her heart set on it. Anakin always told her that she was going to jinx it-if she wanted to name him Luke so badly, she’d get a girl instead, and told her she should be prepared for that, too.

She smiled, despite everything, and reached out to stroke Luke’s cheek. She forgot about the whole galaxy collapsing around her and looked into her baby’s eyes, wanting to say so much to him. That his father was still good, that she was sorry for what was going to happen, that she knew someday he’d understand. She had been crying already, but the thought of her babies not knowing her and not knowing the Anakin she knew made her cry a little more.

Time started to move forward again, and Leia was born while Obi-Wan and Luke watched on. She didn’t even get the luxury to touch Leia, or even properly look at her before she started to fade out. She looked at Luke, in Obi-Wan’s arms, who had no clue what was going on, and was reminded of Anakin, when she first met him.

“Obi-Wan….” She looked up at her friend, then back to the baby. Luke had his father’s eyes. “I know there’s still good in him.”
