Well, finals are done and the semester is over! No more class until either January 26 or January 30!...I have to check on that one. But yeah...I'm just waiting for the professors to kinda, you know, post the grades on our online accounts. I'm on the edge of my seat about them all.
As for that english paper, hopefully I did okay considering i BS'ed 3/4 of it. I had it done for the most part on Monday to take to class...I go to turn it in and he is like "Oh yeah, don't turn in your papers tonight...Take them home, look over them, and improve them all a little bit and e-mail them to me...They're not due until Wednesday night at midnight." I was SO pissed off about that, but relieved because I had a second chance to go back and fix some things...He even gave me some suggestions and ideas which made the paper that much better and even easier to work with. So I e-mailed it to him last Wednesday and haven't heard anything about a grade since he replied back to me last week and said he received the file.
Other than finals and that paper, I've been up to nothing really. Well, I have been up to a lot, but it's all been a breeze.
Went up to Northern MD to chill with my cousin and her friend Anjali while my aunt and uncle went to their Christmas party. That was fun. We spent close to 5 hours at the mall, followed by Super Fresh to get some Inca Kola (it's a really yummy spanish soda...It tastes kinda like cream soda, but it's more bitter than the American cream soda). Came home on Sunday and finished decorating the Christmas tree with mom and dad. Good times :)
Today, Monday, I got up and went to Prince Frederick...Headed out around 11:30am and didn't get back home till around 3 this afternoon. I didn't even go to a lot of places...Just walmart (which was hell...thankfully Derek didn't have to work through that mad crowd today), hallmark (where I spent like 45 minutes just looking at Christmas cards...It doesn't help when you have to buy all of your mom and dads Christmas cards for them, plus your own for the family...And walmart had like none)...Then Giant...I stood in the self checkout line for like 10 minutes because the woman in front of me didn't know how to use it...ARGH PEOPLE!!! But I managed to be patient and help her out with things since I use that machine all the time.
Little do we know, March is right around the corner...March has been a great month lately...It's dad's birthday and St. Patrick's day...March 2005, Anne and I reunited for the first time in close to 10 years. A damn good reunion at that. Phil and Anne moved away when Anne was in elementary school and Phil was almost a senior in high school...My first time seeing them, Anne had graduated high school, I was just about to, and Phil was (still is) engaged to be married. Crazy, 'eh??? Anyways, this coming trip, in March 2006, is almost only 80 days away (uh oh, I need to start looking for a dress). I'll go to my first 2 classes on the 16th. The 2nd one ends at 11:40am. My 3rd one starts at noon, but instead of going to that, I'm gonna begin my drive up to NJ. Friday, the 17th, I'll have to call dad and say Happy Birthday, and the wedding maddness will start to set in for good. That night, Anne and I are staying at Phil and Heather's house in Philly, PA. Then the 18th, the wedding bells will be ringing! I am so excited for this. Phil and Heather are so cute together, and they make an awesome couple. Anne is one of Heather's bridesmaids. Aw!. At the wedding, I'll also finally get to meet Kevin and all the other dSb guys. I've heard about them and listened to their crazy music for, what, like 3 years now. I'm excited to finally see them in person. That night, Anne and I are staying at her Oma and Opa's house. I love those two so much. They are funny and awesome to be around! The rest of the trip is kinda spaced out. I'll stay in Jersey for a few days, then I'll drive back to MD and bring Anne with me...So we'll have to definitely meet up with a lot of you and have a great time. Everyone has to meet Anne! :o) She'll be here a few days, then I think she's going to take the train back up to NJ. This trip is already way anticipated.
So yeah, that's the big update on my life. I'm anxiously awaiting Christmas to arrive. It will be great to be around the family and friends again.
Jessica: You and Erik are more than welcome to come over on Christmas day...Let me know :o)
Erika: You're coming over with Bobby, right? Is Mal coming?
Now, I'll leave you with a song from my awesome friends of Reflection Factor...They are one hell of a kickass band from around my area, AKA Southern Maryland...They are definitely my favorite band out of Maryland, and they are the only band from around here that can perfect a cover of any JOURNEY song.
Reflection Factor on Myspace Add them as your friend on myspace...They rock mucho <3
"Healing"
I know that you meant every word you said
Letting these thoughts race in through my head
So whenever I pull to the way things were before
Now when I open my mouth you push me to the floor
It’s time I start healing my broken heart
I tried to forgive you once but you just betrayed me
I’ve got to drop these feelings
But I need this time of healing away from…
How can you live knowing that I can’t go on
Without this love that got buried
It is forever gone
So why do I hold on to the pain that is inside
When I know nothing can heal
When I’m tied to my broken past
It’s time I start healing my broken heart
I tried to forgive you once but you just betrayed me
I’ve got to drop these feelings
But I need this time of healing away from you
Away from you
I need this time of healing away from you…
Now I’m wondering
There’s nowhere left to go
I'm hiding from all I know
