immigration

enotsola's immigration packet should be posted soon (he forgot to bring it with when he went over to the shopping center with the post office, and had to go back home to fetch it). Hopefully this will be painless (not having to appear for another interview would be nice) and the last we will ever have to deal with them, aside from periodically renewing his green card or if he decides to go for U.S. citizenship. I'm a bit worried that we don't have some of the usual evidence people have to prove that the marriage was in "good faith" and not to avoid immigration laws, such as a lease or mortgage or joint liabilities like loans, but, well, I submitted what we had: joint checking; credit cards with the same acct # although technically that one is mine, not ours, and he's just an authorized signer; stuff making him my beneficiary on everything like life insurance and retirement accounts; affadavits from my parents that in their opinion the relationship is for real and they know this through personal experience because well, what with Lego Harry Potter and everything we hardly get off their couch. (Kidding, I didn't really write that.)
