At long last!
The conference is finally over! *throws confetti* It was one of the few things I regret: to help organization. We worked from 8 am till 6 pm and very very exhausted. Besides, many things went wrong; some participants didn't show up, a computer and projector is burned because of some electricity problem, air condition was way too cold, I felt from stairs and my knee and finger still hurts a lot etc etc etc... Still, it was very nice to hear my name in the closing speech when my professor thanked me and my friends by name, and meeting with other scholar whom I read articles many times and able to learn new views and facts about things I study. I really glad it ended and now I have the time to enjoy myself doing nothing but reading.
This year is going to be interesting because I'm not going to stay at dorm anymore and return my hometown to write my thesis. I will travel along Ankara-İstanbul road but it's going to be nice not to stay at dorm and bear other people around. The only sad thing is that I'll be away from İlker for weeks (though I'll come and stay with him for weeks later :) ) and also my friends. I have friends in İstanbul, but as years passed, I became more comfortable with friends in Ankara just like the city itself. Hopefully I'll find a job after I finish my thesis and permanently move to Ankara. I never thought I'll miss Ankara but now I understand that the city is deeply under my skin...
