As written by Carolyn:

STEP 01 - Load up all your music in your music player and hit shuffle.
STEP 02 - Post the first line of the first 50 songs that pop up.
STEP 03 - Let everyone take a guess at the artist and song.
STEP 04 - ONLY CHEATERS USE GOOGLE!! D:<
STEP 05 - READY SET GO.
(These last two steps make no sense to me)

Just so people know, this is the first time I actually heard some of these songs. I have far more Dylan/Beatles/Incubus/Poe than I ever listen to (as I rarely listen to any of those groups despite having a lot of MP3s of theirs). The first line was based on the first line listed at LyricWiki.

- "In the middle of the night..." ---Billy Joel, "River of Dreams"
- "Goodnight, Sweetheart."
- "Let us be lovers well marry our fortune."

- "Coming at you."
- "I cannot take this anymore..."
- "One, two, three, four!"
- "Isn't it strange that a gift could be an enemy?"
- "Somewhere in the darkness there's a man they call 'the Skipper'..."

- "I woke up with a headache..."
- "If everybody has an ocean..."
- "I heard there was a secret chord..."
- "Don't you mess with a little girl's dream..."
- "I've lied to you.."
- "I think I'm gonna be sad. I think it's today, yeah."
- "There was a little boy, and there was a little girl."
- "Well, there was this movie I seen one time..."
- "Hey, Jude, don't make it bad." ---The Beatles, "Hey Jude"
- "Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnny Ray..." ---Billy Joel, "We Didn't Start the Fire"
- "Why can't people get along and love each other, Christmas Eve?" ---Avenue Q, "The More You Ruv Someone"
- "To resist is to piss in the wind."
- "If this is hell..."
- "From father to son..."
- "Today everything was fine fine fine..."
- "Thought that maybe we'd fall in love over the phone."
- "I would have given you all of my heart..."
- "Meet me in outer space."
- "Are you going to Scarborough Fair?" ---Simon and Garfunkel, "Scarborough Fair"
- "Morning has broken, like the first morning." ---Cat Steven, "Morning has Broken"
- "Something in the way she moves..."
- "Hey Mr. Driver..."
- "I didn't want to do it, but I got too lonely."
- "So denied..." ---Eve 6, "Here's to the Night"

- "It's very difficult to keep a line between the past and the present..."
- "Well, I stand up next to a mountain..."
- "Slow drag off a cigarette."
- "Crawling in my skin..." ---Linkin Park, "Crawling"
- "Humidity is rising."
- "Well, East Coast girls are hip..." ---The Beach Boys, "California Girls"
