it's been 11 weeks
It's been 11 weeks since my last entry and I am disheartened to announce that I am unemployed as of last Friday. A complicated situation to explain, and one which I've already explained several times. Suffice it to say that I am now navigating unemployment benefits (crosses fingers) and trying to be positive. [ which if you know me means closing my eyes repeatedly, at any given time, while praying or cursing under my breath]
I am now on a quest to find something I truly enjoy or I am interested in - instead of just finding something to fill the workday hours with boredom and a bi-weekly check.
So far we have:
American Sign Language
Cake/Pastry Decoration
Librarian
Creating Soundtracks
Voice-work (production)
I have the most credentials for the final two. That's a start since I might even know a place to submit a resume. I am interested in ASL though. I'm not sure where the idea came from, but it seems like it'd be interesting and challenging. I think I'll take a class this fall and see if it sticks (likely while working part-time somewhere)
What do you think??
In the meantime, we leave for Washington and Vegas Friday morning so I sort of scored an extra week of vacation [damn] -- there I go being positive again...
