wedding...bliss?
So my BF...F, yeh I had to, is getting married this weekend. I'm very excited, am in the wedding party, etc. The hotel room is reserved, the bridal dress is purchsed, the matching shoes are purchased, the reception dinner place cards are done but 6 (yes, I did the calligraphy and added the rhinetsones and flowers- different colors and sizes per instruction), I supervised the wedding day outfit for my date -b/c apparently there's still a small helpless boy inside my b/f........what are we down to?
-- finish most recent place cards
** frantic bride emails me and calls me with the last minute updates & yes, I'm overnighting them when they're done.
-- wedding gift production
** because there's no way my BFF is getting any old gift. This one had to be collected and is still missing one piece. Then needs to be arranged as perfectly as possible.
-- Print all kinds of directions
** to the hotel, to the church from the hotel, to the 'rents from the church and from the hotel....
-- Organize my own outfit(s)
** new makeup (b/c I can't be worried about smeared or barely there anything when I'm handing the bride her tissues) so that includes the waterproof sort for me too
** some type of co-ordinating, non-embarassing thing for the rehearsal/dinner
** jewelry?
** to paint nails or not to paint nails....that is the question.... (I know it seems silly, but it's every little thing when it comes to pictures and "hand-maiding" the bride)
There's also other non-wedding related errands that need to be done tomorrow...
p.s. all on my one day off from work this week
p.s.s I'm really not complaining. It's just been a really, very, seriously long and busy month. This is the last push soldier!
On that note, guess who has a new full-time job?? yay!
I start the 29th and am pretty psyched. It will be a lot to digest. Right now I'm just trying to get through this last week at my old job and get prepped for the weekend (did I mention that the day after the wedding is the b/f's neice's/god-daughters 5th bday? yeh... we get to drive from LI to like Utica after an open bar reception...holy hangover robin!)

Finally got around to seeing Blood Diamond. I was never heavy into the traditional engagement ring, but as I near that special place I had started to consider a "girl's best friend". Now... not sure. That was an intense movie. I want to do some research. Maybe I'll go lab-created. Or do some kind of gemstone configuration. That'd be a load off the b/f's wallet anyway, yeh? lol
Of course my mind only wanders there b/c of the upcoming occasion. That said I'm off to wander through a few ring sites and then take a walk.
