You're not being hard on him. It is true, he needs to get his act together. Believe me when I say that I understand where you're coming from. Not just knowing brian, but having a brother who acts a lot like him. It's very frustrating as a sibling and friend when you care about someone that much and watch them wreck things for themselves. You're not alone in your observations of his behavior, even he told me that he didn't feel like he was "grown up". The truth is that it's his life to lead, and he'll have to deal first hand with the choices he makes (including his vices/bad habits). As far as Avenue goes; I would hate to see it fall apart, though I could certainly understand how that might happen. On the other hand, you know how much I think of you and your musical abilities. You could definitely make it! I know it would be a hard decision, but if surrendering dreams for Avenue is what it comes down to in order for you to continue, then go with it. I have the utmost confidence in your passion. I know that musical pulse, and you would regret it immeasurably if you ever gave up. Things have a way of working themselves out. Give Bri a chance, but keep in mind that just as he has his life, you have yours. so be true to your spirit too. This got a bit long, but no apologies here. I'm sure you know how much I care for both you and Brian. If there's anything I can do...
