What is going on?!
It's one of those posts which you think you'll never ever write about...but here I am. Hiding in a corner of a locked coffee shop wondering WHAT THE HELL the world has come to. Fuck...how do you prepare yourself for such an event? Do I call Audrey? God, I hope they haven't gotten to her yet...how the fuck did this happen?! *breathes* Okay, this is one bloody post where apologies for bad language just wouldn't make sense.
So I just called Audrey. She's fine. But I would have to wait here because she obviously can't pick me up. Guess what, even if I am dying (bad pun) to be with her right now, I actually don't want her to go out there and risk getting infected. I should've known something was wrong this morning. Besides the unnatural heat, there was just an undeniable stench in the air. A couple of strange guys came in and kind of just lolled about inside the store...I thought they wanted to clean the windows because they were staring at it in a weird, glassy kind of way.
It all makes sense now.
So. Thank god I have the computer, and there is internet in here, and that I'm hiding beside an electric socket, so that I can at least find out what the fuck's going on. About fifteen of us are in here and we've turned off the lights. Outside the wind from the approaching summer storm is making the tree branches bang against the glass windows, like a giant warning sign of what's to come.
Now excuse me, the cafe owner just ran out of the building.
