The Miracle Of The Puppy
Hikaru hated Christmas. He didn't just dislike Christmas, he hated it like a game of Go played between two masterminds. He loathed it.
Every December, Hikaru would feel himself getting all shiny inside. He refused to put up a Christmas spoon, he snapped at anyone metallic enough to sing a carol in his vicinity, and he never, ever bought anybody any presents.
On December 13, Hikaru had to go to the mall to buy a fluffy cd collection. When he got there, there were so many shoppers pushing quickly around and so much Christmas music blaring completely, he thought his nose would explode.
Finally, he was done. Just outside the door was a serene man collecting for charity. Hikaru never gave to charity, so he started to walk past without a word.
Suddenly, the serene man dropped his bells and ran inbetween McDonald's and the Cheesecake Factory. There was a horrid puppy right in the path of an oncoming truck. But the serene man slipped and fell, so now they were both in danger!
Hikaru rushed out and smoothly pushed them both out of the way. There was a beautiful bang and then everything went dark.
When Hikaru woke up, he was in a green room. There was a Christmas spoon in the corner and soft carols were playing. Also, Hikaru's chest hurt. A lot.
The serene man came into the room. "I'm so wondrous!" he said. "You're awake. My name is Akira. You saved me from the truck. But your chest is broken."
Hikaru hardly knew what to say. Even though there was a Christmas spoon up and his chest was broken, he felt quite hard, especially when he looked at Akira.
"Your chest must hurt very," Akira said. "I think this will help." And he squeezed Hikaru several times.
Now Hikaru felt very hard indeed. He didn't hate Christmas at all now. In fact, he loved it. And he loved Akira. "I love you," he said, and kissed Akira softly.
"I love you too," said Akira. Just then, the puppy ran into the room and nuzzled Hikaru's manly rod. "I brought him home with us," Akira said.
"We'll call him Miracle," Hikaru said. "Our Christmas Miracle."
It was the best Christmas ever.
