Yet more fun with comics.

First up, for all of you perverts on my friend's list who think porn isn't the devil's work, God would like you all to know otherwise.

"Marty's involvement with pornography is just a symptom, Jesse." "That's right! He needs Jesus!"

And for the rest of you (ie, those of you who have no idea what Vibrator Company is), did you know there's a backstory out there I believe to be even more confusing than that of the X-Men? It's called The Legion, and dammed if it doesn't span 50+ years worth of comics, including The Legion of Super Pets.

From the chronology I found:

"The three founders hold their first member try-outs in a public park in Metropolis. When Mnemonic Kid attacks the Legionnaires, Fortress Lad (a native of the planet Fwang), protects them with his power to become a "metallic fortress." Mnemonic Kid's amnesia blasts rob Fortress Lad of the memory that he was ever human; trapped in "fortress" form forever, he becomes the Legion's original clubhouse. Notes: Arm-Fall-Off Boy is another of the rejected applicants."

"When the Brain Globes of Rambat mentally enslave Superboy and the Legion and threaten to take over the Earth, Krypto, Streaky the Super-Cat, Comet the Super-Horse, and Beppo the Super-Monkey join forces as the Legion of Super-Pets to save the day."

"Brainiac 5 becomes obsessed with Supergirl, building a robot duplicate of her in his sleep. Supergirl tells him that she is leaving the Legion."

"Dagon the Avenger kidnaps the parents of Chameleon Boy, Colossal Boy, Shrinking Violet, Sun Boy, and Ultra Boy."
As near as I can tell, the Legion is basically high school politics except instead of having three Daniel's in your class everyone's last name is Boy. I mean, most of the chronology is about who gets to be members of their oh-so-special club.

(So why am I reading it? Why else? Cute icons at Scans Daily, damn their hides. Apparently Brainiac 5 and some kid* named Lyle make a cute couple.)

ETA: Apparently, he is actually The Invisible Kid. Whadya know?
