It's funny. When Disney's Hercules came out, I had trouble enjoying it for what it was because even though it was funny and had (mostly) good characters, I spent most of the movie going "Yeah, that's totally not how Greek mythology actually goes..." Now I'm rewatching Anastasia (because why not?) and it turns out I've learned a lot more about Russian history since I last saw it. Ah, well, it's really only a problem for the opening sequence, and then after that it's off to Paris and snappy banter, but I'm still like "you know, the grand duchesses actually lived rather austurely at the insistence of their mother, and there was kind of this prolonged sequences of moves to smaller and smaller houses of arrest before the whole family finally got shot in a basement rather than a sudden uprising in the palace to escape dramatically from..."

Renfaire's over, and I should really post pictures.  We'll see if I manage any time in the near future.
