There is something ironic about reading a manga in which the main character is a translator who goes on about the subtleties of the job and yet the scanslation of said manga is closer to ham-handed than subtle. Not as bad as certain chapters of Skip Beat (you know the ones), but still bad enough to make me roll my eyes with some frequency. (The manga in question is Darenimo Aisarenai, should anyone be interested - it's actually not that bad, depsite a confusing first chapter and a
haunting image of a mouse smoking presumably after inter-species sex, but oh, how it needs a proper editor.)
