Went to speed dating, only stayed for 45 minutes because they had a nice little area set up despite the really really long line of people that showed up. They didn't even try to accomedate the people standing and just had them wait in line to get into the rectangle of tables. At least last year they had more places to put people, why these people didn't I won't know...
It wasn't fun. The guy I started with was a fucking beefed up jock who drank a beer and was drunk when he got to the girls down from me. It was too loud, I couldn't hear I felt like an idiot because I couldn't hear or speak louder... it just sucked. Last year it was akward but I could easily talk to the guys, tonight I couldn't get anything out. It was the wrong environment to do anything other than yell at each other across the table, and certainly not the right environment to get to know someone.
... I might have to wait until Japan creates an android you can program to your liking. *sigh*
