Waiting for...Everything
So I'm sitting here waiting for Yasuko to Kenji episode 2 to finish downloading. Just finished watching Maou episode 3 subbed. I know I'm a huge Toma fan. I know I love practically every drama I see. But darn it if Maou just isn't mega-hugely awesome every time I watch it. Gomen about episode 3 screencaps, but um, as I mentioned last time certain work-related things have happened causing me to fall asleep at 9:00 at night (when I'm used to going to bed around 3:30 in the morning).
I watched Joan of Arcadia earlier. I think most of my flist won't have seen this show since it aired during 2003-2004 when I was still in high school. I LOVE this show. It stars Amber Tamblyn as Joan. One day God appears to her in the form of a hot guy. Joan thinks she might be going crazy, but God appears to her in different forms and knows a lot of her most private stuff. This gets Joan into some weird stuff, but she learns lessons along the way. Also there's Christopher Marquette who plays the calm but hot slacker artist Adam. It stopped airing after the second season, but the SciFi channel must have syndicated it, because IT IS BACK BABY!!!
Watched Comic Con footage earlier tonight on G4 and saw a Yuki Cross from Vampire Knight cosplayer! Yay for whoever that was! They showed some Twilight stuff (erg), and some Lost stuff (yay). I wonder if any JE fans or J-dramas fans attended. There has to be at least one, right?
Oh gosh, Maou. Maoumaoumaoumaou. MA-OH. *chants* MA-OH, MA-OH, MA-OH.
Okay, that's enough of that.
I'm disappointed with Maou's dismal ratings when the plot is so tight. In all honestly, I am getting a little tired of Toma running everywhere and yelling a lot. Angsty Toma is hot, but the boy needs to smile, too. Okay, yeah, I realize everyone around him is dying, so there's not a lot to smile about. But if there were more parts to smile about, we'd feel the sad parts more. Like in episode 2 where Yosuke talked about his plans for a bar. He and Naoto were all happy about it, but then...well, you know what happened. It was even sadder.
Speaking of sad: TOMA CRYING. I cry every time I see him cry. He's a woobie! (Yes, I'm using your word again, Lanee) Don't you just want to hold him? I'm just now starting to feel sympathy for Ohno. Well, okay, I felt sympathy for him in episode 1, but he's been so evil that it's hard to. I think as the drama goes on, we'll see more a human side to him.
I love how things are progressing, too. It's only episode 3, and Naoto has pretty much figured out this is about what happened back then. He knows it has to do with the incident and involves everyone who was involved back then. But I still don't think we know the whole story. For one thing, we didn't know Shiori had seen Hideo's body after the other boys had left. We don't know what happened right before that moment either. I don't think they're showing us the whole picture. And that's what I'm looking forward to finding out.
Also, I really love Toma's jacket. I want one. XD Preferably his.
