Today's ode to Bjork: Coffee and Bjork
I love coffee and I love bjork...therefore this little collection seemed natural to me...I'm sure there is much more I could include in it but this is what I could drap up in little time.
In the broadcasting of the Hultsfred Festival on Channel 2 in Sweden, the presenters were talking about how some people don't get much before they go on stage, while others do. They mentioned Björk at the Arvika Festival:
Last year, at the Arvika Festival, Björk demanded that she wanted espresso, so they carried the whole espresso machine into her room.
"So we gave her the f*ing espresso machine!".

Björk is friendly, perhaps a tad shy. She says she'll need some coffee to kick-start her English. She's wearing gold stilettos and a hand-made dress with silver and purple sequins. Though strikingly pretty even without make-up, the maverick chanteuse has a tomboyish, almost feral air, exacerbated by her quirky facial expressions. Endearingly, she apologises profusely whenever her caffeine buzz occasionally prevents me from getting a word in edgeways.

enjoyment.independent.co.uk In a deserted fish restaurant near Reykjavik's charmingly uneventful city centre, Björk has begun to come alive. A repeat order of black coffee has done the trick. She has offered many apologies for feeling so zonked in the middle of the day - attributable, she says, to a combination of just having moved house and being the mother of a nearly two-year-old daughter.
