You guys I have no words except BEST CONCERT EVER OMG!
Why is Mika not included in bandom? I want people to squee and flail with over his little faaace ♥
Anyway, bucketload of pics under the cut! Woo \o/
Fancy stage! The plushie trees were so cute!
Also, light-up moon!
this was also the first clue that my crafty plan of going to see a show in no way related to bandom to forget about the Divorce anniversary was about to fail miserably.
Anyway, K, Smuchkin and I managed to get somewhat close to the barrier and proceeded to sing our hearts out along to the cheesy music that was playing during the wait. Suddenly, the lights went off and then came up again and we did a double take because we expected Mika to take the stage right off, instead we got an opening band. More to the point, we got the same opening band that
opened for FOB when they played in Milan! Hey Hey Radio! :D
At least this time they left the tennis gear out of the show...
They played a couple of songs from their album and then covered "I Kissed a Girl" (of which I couldn't remember the lyrics, so I sang the CS's ones instead) and also "I Got A Feeling" (the crowd went pretty crazy with that one. I almost expected an impromptu flash mob :D)
this, of course, was the second clue of the impending failure of my plan
stage crew!
Pretty sunflowers!
Lights went down again and this vid started! \o/
MIKA! WOOO! Let's just say I was too busy bursting with joy to care much about the steadyness of my camera...
This boy! Look at his faceeeee!
First song was "Relax (take it easy)". I ♥ that song!
This happened during "Big Girl". Yes, that is a giant inflatable hot pink stiletto heel. I feel like saying it again: BEST CONCERT EVER OMG!
Please note how precious the bass player's face is <3
The thing I loved the most about this conceert it's that it felt more like a theatre production
Setting things up for "Dr. John"
his little faceeeeeee
the vocalist was pretty much amazing, ok?
"This song is about a friend of mine. His name's Billy"
BILLY!
(this one's here 'cause I like the pretty colours)
(Radioactive Bass Player! This one's here for the lols)
touching me thouching you and your pretty face omg!
and I fess up about my instant-girlcrush on the vocalist, ok?
At this point, Mika was feeling quite hot. So he took off his tee.
this didn't bother us in the least...
double girlcrush! The drummer was unbelievable!
rain
I don't even know how I managed to get this shot
he said he was starting to feel a bit stupid without a shirt and asked the backstage crew to throw him one. They said no. He answered "F you!"
Happy Ending. Singing along to this one is quite cathartic.
setting up a new scene
FLASHY BRIDES! The third sign of doomed planning
doom ba da di da di doom
getting rid of the giant plushie
we are golden, we are golden
Tiny break to change the backdrop...
and on again with Toy Boy
Grace Kelly. He dedicated this one to the fans froom Rome who not only sent him letters, but also went to plead at his house in London to please come do a show in Rome. I... am slightly mortified, but also really thankful for creepyshameless fans.
And since moons that are down and six-degree of bandom and flashy brides weren't enough, why not deliver the final blow with a freaking DRUM LINE?!
I have to say that it was like therapy, really
you know, making new association with old memories
and it was Lollipop! Only my most favourite mika-song!
you can't really see it here, but there were two masked people. One had an elephant head and the other a bunny one. It was like destiny.
Here ends another faily recap. Wooo \o/
