catching up: I'm trying to do it right

Jun 09, 2009 17:59

I don't want bad/sad/depressing rl stuff to ruin a happy entry so
Let's talk about nice things that makes my days a little brighter:

1. My tutor finally gave me the transfer papers! I have to meet her tomorrow to finalize my curricula and then I'll be able to do the last 20 exams and get this damn degree \o/

2. This came up on my twitter

They are the Panic Boys! I have photographic evidence!

3. Speaking of Panic as animals, I have 600ish words of Cat!AU in a googledoc. You want an itty bitty little snippet? Here you go!

"Yes," she laughs, "you're coming with me". The hold she has on Brendon tightens slightly and she moves her face to look at the lady, "Can I take him home now?"

"You'll just have to sign some papers, Miss..."

"Greta," the girl says. Brendon thinks the name suits her. He bats a ringlet of her hair with his right paw to show her he likes her name.

Greta grabs his paw "You like it?" and OK, Brendon is going to have the coolest cat-owner ever. He meows and flexes his left paws against Greta's blouse.

Greta beams.

And now one of you has to come forward and offer themselves as a sounding board/beta/cheerleader and HELP ME! I had to sketch scenes like a freaking storyboard because words are not my thing OK? This things keeps growing in my head but fuck if I can translate it to paper in word-form!

Also, raffie79 is an enabler who must know that ":D" and ":)" are my kryptonite.

She said " I REALLY want a picture of cat!Brendon and cat!Spencer snuggling together, when Spencer finally gave in to Bden's advances. Brendon's purring and Spencer looks at him as if he's not touched by this at all when, actually..."

My answer was "... actually, Spencer can't resist anylonger. In the beginning, Spencer didn't know what to do of this little, scruffy kitten who seems incapable to understand that every respectable cat's job is vegetate in a sunny spot and get a manicure (Ryan's words, not his) on the sofa's new cover. Brendon never sits still, he jumps from a piece of furniture to the other, has made of the potted ficus in corner his favourite punching-ball, meows along with the radio and says that when he grows up he wants to be Simba, but only if Spencer accepts to be his Nala. Spencer has never been so grateful to be a half persian; if he had been a naked cat (like the one who lives at the end of the road and goes around waving his tail like a snake) everyone would have noticed ho much he was blushing.
Now that Brendon understand that there's no need to steal cookies form the jar, tear the pillows apart to find the perfect feather to play with, or undo the scarf Greta just finished to give Spencer his favourite yarn-ball back, spending time with Brendon has become, if not relaxing, at least pleasing. And as much as Spencer tries to show how little the press of Brendon's side against his own matters, when Brendon falls asleep with his face tucked against Spencer's throat and starts purring as he dreams, Spencer can't stop himself from twining his tail with Brendon's."

And since, as I already said, I'm better at drawing than writing, this is what came out :)

This came out alright, but what I'm really proud of is the sofa!

Thoughts?

ETA: Icons in the comments because raffie79 is a ":D" dispenser.
