Things and stuff.

Where to begin...

I'll be moving on Friday! As much as we love Yarmouth, and as awesome as our landlords are, we really wanted an apartment with more windows and an outdoor area. So, after much searching, we looked at an apartment in Topsham. It's the first floor of a house that I would guess was probably built around the same time as my parents'. Lots of windows. And a yard. And a porch with a swing. I think it'll be quite nice. The whole moving thing has me a bit overwhelmed, though. We have way too much stuff.

And since I'm moving closer to the office, I'll most likely drive myself this summer and work four ten-hour days. I figure now would be the best time to try it, since I'll only have to leave about twenty minutes earlier than I do now and I'll get home about twenty minutes later. And then get a whole extra day off every weekend! It might keep me from feeling quite so burned out, what with the stress of my weekends.

We went to the Sea Dogs game last night. It was supposed to start at 6pm, Matt and I got there at about quarter to six, my Dad got there at six, and my brother and his friends arrived about quarter past. And because of the rain, the game didn't start until 8:15 or so. But it was great fun, and definitely worthwhile. We had seats in the first row right behind home plate. And Gabe Kapler was DH-ing as part of his four-game "extended spring training" with the Sea Dogs. Very cool. Matt and I only stayed for the first game, which the Dogs won, and left around 10:30. The Dogs won their second game as well, which didn't end until sometime after 1am. Way past my bedtime.

So people will have to come visit us in our new apartment once we get all settled. Matt's measuring for a grill already, so if you arrive in the summer, we can grill up whatever you like.
