My cat has decided that one of the most exciting things in the world is leaping/climbing to the very top of my boyfriend's computer chair (it's one of those executive-size ones, with a really high back) and clinging there while we scold him for getting up there in the first place and offer dire threats if he leaps to the top of the bookshelf upon which rests a variety of (drinking) glasses, a plant, and a set of shotglasses disguised as a medieval-type helmet.

And the fall Camden Harbor Arts and Crafts show is this weekend! Which also means.... the book sale is this weekend! Whee! I think we're going up to Camden after Matt gets back from the play on Friday, which means we won't be pulling in until 12:30am at least. Blech.

This week has been so quiet at work, especially compared to last week. No presentations to any commissioners, cabinets, or committees, no meetings with doctoral students. And only one new project to work on!

All of my travel has been approved, so I'll be heading off to St. Paul, Minnesota, in a few weeks and then to Norfolk, Virginia, the week after that. Too bad I'll be missing so much of October. Fall in Maine has to be one of the best things in the world. And I'm missing Pop!Tech, too. But I couldn't get out of the training in St. Paul, and I'm actually looking forward to the conference in Norfolk (there's a cruise on the harbor and everything). Plus the per diem has gone up, so I get more money for food! Always a good thing.
