I like apples all the time :) Same goes for cute girls! And the drinking thing, usually I like it, sometimes not.
Mostly I have no objection to being sober, it's just that it lets the utter fuckuppery of the world in a bit too much, so I usually avoid it when I'm not going to be distracted.
Being grownup is just the boring bit between being young and being old :)
A drug can be anything, be it an engaging fiction, a hillarious television show, a web site to build, a play to right, a plant to smoke, a chat room to frequent, a band to obsess over. It's all hiding.

Solitude is an effect, not a cause (though I will freely admit to liking the occaisonal indulgence).
And as for the irony, THAT bit I don't mind particularly. self mockery is a forte and in that light, it's a triumph on a grand scale.
